SO
so shallow
so alone
sitting here
without the foggiest idea
of what is happening around me
maybe it’s not fogginess
that holds my mind in contempt
maybe it’s ignorance
that blissful emotion
that waves across my being
nurturing it momentarily
before a snap of fingers
and i’m in deep water
people surrounding me
i can’t breath
so over my head
so constrained
