A POEM FOR ANNI

i've come so far
that i think it's necessary
to turn around and look at the miles
of footprints in the sand.
the walk has been enchanting...
oh, the enchantment of falling down dunes.

of trudging through thick air,
when your map is still at home...
oh bliss, i will rest in your town tonight,
where i plan to meet an old friend
who knows not of where i am.

if i cannot see you
how am i sure you still exist?
beyond what i can see
is there nothing but blanks
waiting to be written upon with wonder?
are you just a beautiful memory
that continuously, i refuse to forget?

if these only be hauntings
that plague my brain of you,
i will give you my only possesion
that may be measured unmaterialistically
in infinites.

i give you all that i am,
what i have become,
and all i ever was;
i bestow you with the energy of my all.
my being is in ode to you.
