WHEN I STILL KNEW YOU

i saw where you swerved, i saw where you crashed
wrapped around the streetlight i used to find my way
back to your house, back when i still knew you
i watched you burn and saw your home through the flame

explain it all to me over again, how this was
worth the time i took to find out who you really were
swimming against the current, lungs full of water
when i kissed you the last time, i wasnt really there

i could've swore i heard you crying, could've swore i heard you
i could've swore i heard you scream my name
but i'm too busy now to, pay attention to your voice
your face through the flame
