My interest in representing settings from nature is motivated by the close association I have with being in nature. From early childhood I have delighted in hiking, camping, canoeing and swimming during the summer; and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and trekking in the winter.

I've spent the majority of my life in near Northern Ontario and I continue to find the land and water scape a constant source of inspiration and solace. It has been my desire, through my painting, to present certain of those very special and arresting scenes, as both a celebration and a sharing of my experience. Affirmation comes from those who share similar concerns and find something of themselves in my artwork. Which is to say,

the expressed belief in nature.
